UNC vs. Duke Game Time: Tar Heels Will Take Revenge at Cameron Indoor
North Carolina is too talented.
Austin Rivers and the Duke Blue Devils shocked the Tar Heels on February 8th at Chapel Hill, but revenge will be taken in the season finale. Roy Williams’ crew is simply the better team, and in the biggest game of the season, they’ll be the ones raising their hands in triumph in their opponent’s house.
In the first game, Rivers showed why he’s worthy of the hype, crushing the hearts of the heavily-favored Tar Heels.

On Saturday at 7:00 p.m. EST, though, Duke won’t be in position to hoist up another buzzer-beater.
Four out of North Carolina’s five starters—Harrison Barnes, Kendall Wright, John Henson and Tyler Zeller—are potential lottery picks. Besides Kentucky, no team in the country starts the same caliber of star power. As a team, they rank second in the NCAA in scoring, first in rebounding and fourth in assists.
Duke doesn’t rank in the top 10 in any of those categories. And the only big names the Blue Devils boast are Rivers and Mason Plumlee. Sure, there’s Seth Curry, but he wouldn’t be nearly as well-known if it weren’t for his brother Stephen.
Since their first meeting, neither team has lost a game. The loss lit a fire under the Tar Heels, while the win turned the Blue Devils', who were coming off a devastating loss to Miami, season around. Something has to give.
Cameron Indoor Stadium is as intimidating as it’s always been, but the arena’s bite doesn’t quite match its bark. Duke has lost twice on their home floor this season to teams that they should’ve beaten: Florida State and the Hurricanes. UNC knows this, and coming off of a 88-64 defining of annihilation over Maryland, they're primed to finish the 2012 regular season on a high note against their bitter rivals.
