Chris Jericho is about to return to the mountain top, even if he'll only be there till April. I firmly predict, he will dethrone CM Punk at WWE Elimination Chamber, and it will kick off an entertaining mini-program between the two.
I promised you three reasons, and here they are:

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Jericho is among the five most popular wrestlers in WWE history, over the past 15 years. He hasn't come back to the industry to be an also ran. That was apparent by his lengthy stay in the Royal Rumble. He had the fifth longest stay, despite entering 28th. The 11 plus minutes he was in the ring, was pure money time.
That says to me that he was being conserved and placed on the biggest stage. I don't think that was just designed for one or two pay-per-view events.
Let's try three.
That was only the beginning, as now, he is in the Main Event of The Elimination Chamber. I predict this is the final step before showcasing Jericho at WrestleMania. Winning the title makes it all the more compelling, and it makes it tricky to figure out, just how long he'll be around.
Short Term Run
Jericho isn't likely back in the ring for an extended period. That means, the WWE will try to get the most bang for its buck while he's active. There is no better way to reward him and to capitalize on his presence.
Capturing the WWE Title from CM Punk will lead to one sensational mic rant from Jericho, most likely on Raw the following night.
It's part of the massive appeal of Jericho, and his short stay wouldn't be complete without one. Winning the title substantiates the rant, and locks down "Jericoholics" for a month.
Battle for the Gold at WrestleMania
CM Punk will battle Chris Jericho for the title at WrestleMania. It will be one of four epic matches at the industry's biggest event. It will likely be the best worked, and most fun to watch as well.
It would add so much appeal to the match if Punk was fighting to regain the title, as opposed to defending it.
Punk is large and current, and it wouldn't be a major hit to his popularity to loan the belt to Jericho for a little over a month.
The match will likely be the best of the entire event, and shortly thereafter, Jericho can fade back into the distance, until the WWE calls again.
