Nick Young and Young Studs Who Will Become All-Stars
Right now, it's quite possible that there's more good young talent in the NBA than at any other time in recent memory.
You can field an All-Star team with good young players that were left off both All-Star rosters this season.
Of course the veteran talent in the league isn't too shabby as well, which means the young talent has a way to go before cracking All-Star rosters, but some of the young talent will break through sooner rather than later.
Here's a look at some young studs who will become All-Stars.
Nick Young
1 of 10The Wizards only signed Young to a qualifying offer before the season began. It's going to cost them a lot more the next time around.
Young has emerged as the Wizards' top scoring option averaging 17.9 points a game.
The USC product can get his shot off over anyone and is getting better by the week. down the road there will be an All-Star uniform with Young's name on it.
Brandon Jennings
2 of 10Jennings is quickly becoming one of the best point guards in the NBA and I could make the case that he should have made the All-Star team this season, but it won't be long before Jennings is a no-brainer All-Star selection.
Kyle Lowry
3 of 10I can say the same exact thing about Lowry.
He's becoming one of the better point guards in the NBA and even though there are a ton of quality guards in the Western Conference, it won't be long before he makes his first All-Star team.
Danilo Gallinari
4 of 10Looks like Denver did pretty well in the Carmelo Anthony trade.
Gallinari's game is quickly resembling that of an All-Star. He's a pure scorer with a sweet shot and an ability to get to the rim and the foul line.
His numbers are good now and are only going to get better.
Monta Ellis
5 of 10Somehow Ellis didn't make the Western Conference team this season, despite being the seventh leading scorer in the NBA at 22.5 points per game.
The Warriors will get soon get better as a team and that will help out the cause of a guy like Ellis down the road.
Ricky Rubio
6 of 10Rubio has made quite the impact at both ends of the floor for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He's a highlight reel with the ball in his hands and is an outstanding defensive guard.
Those highlight reel passes have quickly made him one of the more popular players in the NBA and he's a guy that could get voted into the game before long.
Even if he doesn't get voted in by the fans, his play should have him under consideration every season.
DeMarcus Cousins
7 of 10He may have a ton of growing up to do but you can't knock his talent.
Cousins is a double-double machine and on numbers alone will warrant a spot on the Western Conference team almost yearly.
Kyrie Irving
8 of 10Irving has come into the NBA and fared very well as a rookie.
He's a natural point guard and a gifted scorer. Irving's rookie numbers of 18.0 points and 5.3 assists per game are quite impressive and they are only going to get better.
He's got the look of a multiple time All-Star.
Greg Monroe
9 of 10Monroe is a gifted big man and the lone bright spot on a Detroit Pistons team.
It could be tough to crack the Eastern Conference team as a big man if Dwight Howard stays in the Eastern Conference, but Monroe will soon be in contention for that backup center spot for years to come.
DeAndre Jordan
10 of 10Jordan's high-flying ability at both ends of the floor will get him a lot of attention in future seasons for All-Star consideration.
Once the numbers go up a little more and he's a legitimate double-double guy, the Los Angeles Clippers could have yet another All-Star.
