5 Reasons Why Vitali Klitschko Will Crush Dereck Chisora
Vitali Klitschko is set to fight an opponent who is 12 years younger than him, Derek Chisora.
Las Vegas seems to believe that it will be a pretty easy fight for the Ukrainian. Klitschko is currently set as a minus-1,700 favorite, which means that you need to risk $1,700 to win $100.
I believe that the odds are reflecting what will happen on next Saturday, when the Ironfist will destroy Derek Chisora.
Klitschko Has the Height and Reach Advantage
1 of 5Chisora is only 6′ 1.5″ with a reach of 74 inches. On the other end, Klitschko is 6′ 7.5″ with a reach of 80 inches.
Definitely, the contender will have a huge physical disadvantage. Can he overcome this against a fighter like Klitschko? I doubt that he can. The Ironfist will use his long arms to keep Chisora far away from him and will destroy Chisora with power punches.
As we all know, Chisora wasn't able to defeat Tyson Fury, who is 6′ 9″ with a reach of 85 inches. It doesn't look good for the young fighter in another similar situation.
Chisora Doesn't Have Enough Experience
2 of 5Chisora doesn't even have 100 rounds of professional boxing in his young career history. On the other end, Klitschko has 219 rounds of experience.
Klitschko will use every technique he knows to destroy Chisora. Since Chisora has limited experience, he will have difficulties adjusting to several boxing tactics.
Chisora will learn from this fight and it will help him in his future fights. However, it won't help him for this matchup.
Chisora Doesn't Have the Power to Compete with Klitschko
3 of 5Chisora might be heavyweight just like Klitschko, but his power can't even be compared to the one of the Ironfist.
Indeed, Klitschko has recorded 40 knockouts in 45 fights, which is a 88.89 percent rate. On the other end, Chisora only has nine knockouts in 17 fights for a knockout rate just above 52 percent.
Can Chisora really scare Klitschko? Chances are pretty slim. Klitschko won't have anything retaining him from crushing the smaller and weaker Chisora.
Is Chisora an Elite Fighter?
4 of 5If you hear the name Vitali Klitschko, you put him in a different category than most heavyweight fighters. Just like his brother, Wladimir, Vitali is in the elite class of this division.
However, is Chisora even near to be an elite fighter? He lost two of his previous three fights against less dangerous opponents than the Ironfist. How can he even believe in his chances against a legend like Klitschko?
Chisora isn't undefeated, doesn't have power or experience and has a physical disadvantage. Everything I am telling you right now, he knows too. What will be his mindset in the ring? Does he even think that he has a small chance to cause an upset?
Chisora knows that he can't win and it will help a confident Klitschko.
Klitschko Is Set to Retire
5 of 5Klitschko will turn 41 in a few months. Since his loss to Lennox Lewis back in 2003, the big man is undefeated. Is there anything else for him to prove?
Odds are that it could be Klitschko's last fight. If he is in this mindset, he will be looking to retire on a spectacular note.
Klitschko knows that it might be his last fight, so losing isn't an option for him.
