Detroit Lions Take Your Pick: Herman Moore or Calvin Johnson?
When crafting the ultimate Detroit Lions roster, who would you choose as the No. 1 receiver on the depth chart, Herman Moore or Calvin Johnson?
Those in favor of Herman Moore may point to the fact that he holds nearly all of Detroit's receiving records, including: 670 career receptions, 9147 receiving yards, and 62 touchdown catches.
Detroit's first round pick in the 1991 draft, Moore was the squad's top wideout during one of the few periods of relative success in team history.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He was a member of Lions teams who made six playoff appearances in the 1990's (1991, 1993–95, 1997 and 1999).
He was also a key contributor on two teams that won the old NFC Central division (1991 and 1993), and the team that made the 1992 NFC Championship Game.
But, when drafting the ultimate roster, do you prefer a proven track record and list of accomplishments or pure athletic ability and skill?
At 6'4", 210 pounds, Moore is slightly smaller than the 6'5" 236 pound Calvin Johnson, but pales in athletic comparison.
Johnson has been clocked at 4.33 seconds in the 40-yard dash, can jump 43 vertical inches, and leap 11 feet 7 inches broad jumping.
The man they call "Megatron" has already been highly productive in his young career, with 5872 receiving yards and 49 touchdowns in just five seasons.
Taken second overall by Detroit in the 2007 draft, Johnson has been to two Pro-Bowls and was the NFL's receiving yards leader in 2011.
One common thread between he and Moore is they have both dealt with relative unease at the quarterback position, playing with a plethora of signal callers throughout their careers.
Therefore, no advantage can be given one way or the other in terms of consistency, although it appears Johnson is developing quite a chemistry with current quarterback Matthew Stafford.
After looking at these facts, the question I pose to the Bleacher Report community and to the Detroit Lions fanbase is who would you take first when drafting the Lions ultimate roster?
Do you value longevity or ability?
Potential or persistence?
Skills or stats?
