Michigan Football: The Top 3 2013 Recruits the Wolverines Are in on
The Michigan Wolverines are fresh off a BCS bowl victory and their first double-digit winning season since 2006. But if you know anything about college football, you know you can't sleep and can never settle for what you have. You have to stay on top of the competition and always strive to do better.
While this year's recruiting class is pretty much wrapped up, it's time to take an early look to next year's class.
Of course there are going to be several players interested in Michigan, and there are already a few that have given their verbal commitment to the Wolverines as well. While a verbal may not mean much this early in the process, it does show that Brady Hoke and company aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
Here are a few 2013 prospects that Michigan is already interested in.
QB Shane Morris
1 of 3With Denard Robinson graduating after this season, quarterback is a position that the Wolverines must address if they expect to remain in the BCS conversation.
Morris is a 5-star recruit who has a rocket for an arm and can make all of the throws asked of him.
He also has underrated mobility, as he's able to make plays with his feet when he has to.
He's verbally committed to Michigan but has offers from Michigan State and Cincinnati. You can also expect more offers to pile up as we get deeper into this year's recruiting process.
RB Dymonte Thomas
2 of 3Dymonte Thomas is a very versatile player who can play running back, safety or linebacker.
He's extremely athletic and has great speed.
On the offensive side of the ball, he hits the hole quickly and is able to outrun most defenders.
On defense, he still has to work on his coverage skills, but he is a great and reliable tackler.
He's given his verbal commitment to Michigan but has offers on the table from Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee, among others.
TE Khalid Hill
3 of 3Khalid Hill is another versatile player who can play defensive end, tight end or even running back at the next level.
He's 6'3", 235 pounds, has great hands and doesn't stop playing until the whistle blows.
He'll be a great addition for this team on whichever side of the ball head coach Brady Hoke decides to use him.
Hill is from Michigan and was shocked when Michigan offered him a scholarship. I don't think he'll end up anywhere else but in a Michigan uniform.
"I was in a meeting with Brady Hoke, talking about stuff, and he said, 'You know you have a full ride scholarship to Michigan.' I was like 'Huh what'd you just say?' I started smiling. It was great."
