2012 NFL Mock Draft: Two Players Who Will Be Overvalued After Scouting Combine
The 2012 NFL Scouting Combine runs from February 22nd through the 28th inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
As we see on a yearly basis, a few players put on impressive performances to secure higher draft positions.
Let's take a look at which players will open the eyes of many head coaches and scouts, but who ultimately shouldn't move up draft boards.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Quinton Coples, DE, UNC
Coples is arguably the biggest enigma of the 2012 draft class. Some have him as the consensus best defensive player and a sure-fire Top-10 pick. Others look at his relatively disappointing senior campaign and occasional lack of effort and have him slated to go at the end of Round 1.
In my most recent mock draft, I have Coples going No. 7 to the Jacksonville Jaguars because I think they'll be enamored with his overall athleticism and size. Although their defense was sound in 2011 and they need offensive help, they do need a more consistent pass rush. Also, there's a chance both top wideouts will be gone.
He should put on a tremendous show compared to the rest of the defensive ends in this year's class, which will rocket him up many draft boards around the league.
In the end, regardless of when he's selected—which will almost assuredly be somewhere in the first round—I don't see him having a huge impact as a pass-rusher at the next level.
Zach Brown, LB, UNC
Brown isn't a bad prospect. In fact, he's the most athletically-gifted 4-3 outside linebackers in the 2012 class.
He should run a ridiculously fast 40-yard dash and will be fluid in the cone and agility drills. He'll look like a Top-15 talent.
However, at 6'1'' and shade above 230 pounds, there's a good chance he'll have troubles getting off blocks at the next level.
Brown isn't the most sure tackler either and often overruns plays.
Overall, he's a good NFL prospect and will fit in a 4-3 system somewhere, but his speed will probably get him drafted higher than he should be.
