Odd Events People with Bad Numbers Must Hope for When Playing Super Bowl Squares
Picture this. You spend money on some squares for a Super Bowl pool, only to draw some random numbers like an eight and nine. Then you see the person organizing the pool got a seven and a three.
Frustrating, is it not?
The good thing is that there are things that could happen that would turn the tides. If you don't care about who wins or loses, then start cheering for these things to happen.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
They will make your bad number look pretty decent in no time.
Missed Extra Points
Not only does this wrench the traditional numbers, but it is a source of great humor.
Just for the sake of argument, let's say one of your buddy's teams scored a touchdown late in a quarter that puts him in great position to win. All he needs is for that PAT to go through, and $100 bucks comes his way.
When that extra-point misses, not only does some poor sap who drew a bad number win $100, but you get to watch your buddy go off on a very probable NSFW (Not Safe For Work) rant.
If you don't have a real rooting interest in the Big Game, nothing is better than that.
Two-Point Conversions
Sometimes I wish a team would just go for two at a random time and not just when it makes sense on the scoreboard.
Think about the oddball combinations of numbers that you would see, especially early in the game.
Let's say you have an eight and a one. Y
ou're pretty much a non-factor in the first quarter with that combo, maybe even the second.
But throw a two-point conversion in the mix and you are in play, my friend.
Roger Goodell, if you are reading this, I am begging you to make at least one two-point conversion attempt mandatory per Super Bowl.
Safeties
There is nothing in this world that screws up a good set of numbers like a safety.
Think about the number nine.
It isn't really conducive to a lot of numbers you see in Super Bowl scores. It's not likely that one team is going to kick three field goals without mixing a touchdown in there.
But if you throw a safety in the mix, all bets are off.
We often see games end where one team has a seven at the end of their score. Throw in a safety, and that becomes a nine.
Defensive Touchdowns
These may not be quite like the others, in the fact that they score the same amount of points as offensive touchdowns, but they happen incredibly fast.
Particularly in the early quarters, most numbers are bad because there simply isn't enough time to get the necessary possessions.
Throw in a defensive touchdown and that is no longer the case.
