Timothy RappJun 7, 2018

Are you a huge recruiting junkie? Are you already scouting local middle school games so you can be ahead of the curve for 2017's National Signing day?

Well then, you've come to the wrong place. You probably already know the names I'm going to list here.

However, if you're a regular human being and are curious about some of the top players in next year's recruiting class, you're in luck. Let's take a look at the cream of the crop of the potential 5-star prospects that will dominate National Signing Day next year.

Robert Nkemdiche

He's a 6'5", 270-pound defensive end and an incredible athlete. Here's what you need to know, from Keith Niebuhr of Rivals.com:

"

A two-year varsity starter, Nkemdiche has recorded 38 career sacks.

He is large, yet agile. His explosiveness is off the charts. And, get this: According to his coach, he recently recorded a 40-yard-dash time of 4.56 seconds, something you'd expect from a receiver, not a lineman. Then again, he was also his team's leading rusher when it won the Class AAAAA state title.

"There's nothing this kid can't do on the football field," Grayson coach Mickey Conn said.

"

That would explain why Rivals.com named him the "Junior of the Year" in that article. Suffice to say, there will be a war in the South to acquire the Georgia prospect. Nkemdiche has "the next Julius Peppers" written all over him.

Derrick Henry

How does 2,610 yards and 34 touchdowns as a junior sound to you?

Pretty good, I know.

For the record, it's the third consecutive time he's eclipsed 2,400 yards. His measurables are impressive as well. Henry is 6'3", weighs 230 pounds and is freakishly athletic, as Sports Illustrated noted:

"

Derrick Henry, simply put, is one of the best athletes in the nation. He was laser-timed at 4.45 seconds in the 40, recorded a 38-inch vertical leap and ran a 4.27 shuttle time at Nike's The Opening training program.

"

He looks as though he'll go to Georgia and make quite a few Bulldogs fans happy when he does.

Reuben Foster

He's 6'2" and 230 pounds, runs a 4.5 40-yard dash and plays naturally at either outside or middle linebacker. Here's your scouting report, from Mike Farrell of Rivals.com:

"

Foster is a big linebacker who moves very well from sideline-to-sideline, shows excellent balance and ability to keep his feet in traffic, takes very good angles and delivers a blow when he arrives. He is very good at diagnosing plays and finding the right gap to fill and he knows when to shed blockers and when he needs to take them on to allow others to free up and make a play. He's a high-energy guy who excellent size and a rarity in his size-quickness combination at inside linebacker.

"

He had 185 tackles and 14 sacks in his junior year. Those numbers are freaking absurd. Foster is one to watch for.
