Bralon Addison Makes Last Second Decision for Oregon over Texas A&M
Bralon Addison finally ended his recruiting saga this morning and chose to sign his letter of intent to play for the Oregon Ducks over the Texas A&M Aggies.
Justin Hopkins of 247sports.com reported that the No. 91 recruit in the nation made his decision this morning after being torn over the two schools as recently as yesterday.
Addison is being recruited as an offensive weapon and could play a number of positions for Chip Kelly’s Ducks.
The 5’10”, 185-pound prospect made an official visit to Oregon this weekend and that may have sealed the deal, along with the fact that the Ducks got a commitment from his close friend, Chance Allen.
Allen is a three-star receiver from Missouri City (Texas) and starred on the Hightower High School team with Addison.
As a senior, Bralon played QB but rushed 190 times for 1,625 yards and 20 touchdowns. He’s going to be a potent weapon with his immense speed and nose for the end zone.
Oregon prides itself on playing faster than anyone else in the nation, a reason why they are consistently near the top of the college football polls.
They just added a player who is going to find a spot somewhere in coach Kelly’s system and excel because of his athleticism.
He is the 21st commitment to Oregon’s 2012 class and as a player without a specific position, will be a perfect fit on the team.
Kelly runs one of the more unconventional offenses in all of football, which means converted QBs like Addison can carve out a new position and excel. This is a great signing and great choice by the young man.
