Pro Bowl 2012: Best NFL Player Tweets from Sidelines in Honolulu
So the NFL is encouraging players to tweet during the 2012 Pro Bowl, eh?
A curious development, to be sure, for fans and participants alike:
How nice of James Harrison to chime in ahead of time, though. Rumor has it that he's not exactly a fan of commissioner Roger Goodell, with the advent of Twitter on the sidelines at Aloha Stadium among the more lenient dictates to be handed down by his office.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In typical out-of-touch fashion, the league will only allow players to send messages out to the Twittersphere using designated computers—one for the AFC, one for the NFC—during commercial breaks and while a particular player's unit (offense or defense) isn't on the field, rather than with their own mobile devices.
Which is how athletes and celebrities tend to communicate with their followers these days.
Sounds to me like another gimmick to attract disinterested fans toward watching a game that is, in itself, a gimmick.
In any case, there are bound to be some curious musings from amongst the NFL's All-Stars. We'll have the best of 'em for you right here.
Thanks, Eric Weddle. We were all worried sick that your fingers would be silent tonight...
Not a fan of Hot Chelle Rae, eh Eric?
Welcome to the Pro Bowl, Jimmy Graham:
Von Miller getting in on the act, though, with the AFC already down two touchdowns, the Denver Broncos may want to focus more on his on-field exploits and less on fiddling with the Twitter machine:
Cincinnati Bengals rookie AJ Green hauls in a 34-yard touchdown pass from Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and AFC North rival Ben Roethlisberger midway through the first quarter...and promptly tweets his jubilation out to the interwebs:
Contrary to popular belief, not everyone who goes to the Pro Bowl hates being there.
And if they do, they certainly go out of their way to fake it, don't they, Greg Jennings?
Maurkice Pouncey decides to show some love for his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates, and why not? Ben Roethlisberger has thrown two touchdowns, Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown have been active in the passing game, and James Harrison and Ryan Clark...well, at least they're in the Pro Bowl, right?
Deion Sanders isn't even in Hawaii, but that hasn't kept Prime Time from chiming in with his two cents. Might as well take advantage of the global reach of the Twitter machine:
Brandon Marshall has done more than enough in this Pro Bowl to earn a shoutout for his squad. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver has hauled in two touchdown passes for a combined 103 yards.
New head coach Joe Philbin must be pleased.
