UNC Basketball: Veteran Stars Will Lead Tar Heels to ACC Title
By the time the regular season ends, North Carolina and their veteran stars will clearly emerge as the ACC's best team and a viable threat to win the national championship.
The Tar Heels are clearly the most balanced offensive team in the country. They lead the nation in points per game, rebounds per game and assists per game. That means that no team in the conference will be able to consistently match up against them.
That is the kind of production that you're going to get when you have twin towers Tyler Zeller and John Henson, to go along with Harrison Barnes at small forward.

You can search the country all you want, but you will never find a team with the kind of frontcourt to match the Tar Heels. Consider that, and realize that they also have Kendall Marshall and his near 10 assists a game.
What makes North Carolina special is not just the talent, but also experience. Zeller is a senior, Henson a junior, while Barnes and Marshall are sophomores. That is a group of experienced players that you're not going to see that often in college basketball anymore, not at a program like North Carolina.
On top of all of that, you have Roy Williams leading the show. He clearly knows what to do with talent when it comes his way.
This hasn't been a great year for the ACC, at least at the top. Duke has already dropped a home game to the same Florida State team that beat UNC in Tallahassee.
The Tar Heels are chock-full of veteran talent. They are probably the most talented team in the country and have the veteran leadership and coaching to go along with it.
The loss to the Seminoles wasn't pretty, but it's not going to hurt that bad in the end. The Tar Heels are the top team in the country and will certainly win the ACC. When the meat of the conference schedule begins, the Tar Heels will dominate.
