USA vs. Panama: 3 Reasons To Stay Tuned for Tonight's Lackluster Matchup
At first look, you may feel like tuning into tonight's USA vs. Panama soccer match could be a waste of your time. The Americans are playing with their second/third units, and there are no big-name players who would attract your attention.
Still, if you are a fan of USA soccer or soccer in general, here are three reasons why you should tune in tonight.

Star-Studded World Cup Ad 🤩
The United States "B" squad is coming into this match against Panama with a 1-0 win over Venezuela. While the Americans didn't look all that great in their match, they were still able to come out with the win. In the end, that's really all that matters.
Sure, these matches are not as important since they are just friendlies, but it's good for the Americans to continue to find success against international opponents.
The Americans defeated Slovenia 3-2 back in November, and with this victory they will take three in a row. Three straight wins is impressive for any country—especially when it's with their secondary squad.
Stars of Tomorrow?
These matches have given opportunities to some of America's potential stars of tomorrow. Players have been getting a chance to show their abilities and make a run at the World Cup for 2014.
Centre-back Geoff Cameron has looked the most impressive thus far. Some believe that he has a shot to make the World Cup qualifying team down the line in 2014, but he will need to continue to play strong against Panama.
Another player who could make some noise is midfielder Benny Feilhaber. Currently, Jermaine Jones is captain of this team, but at 30 years old, it's difficult to tell where he will be down the line. This team may be looking for him to finally step things up down the line, and at 27 years old he is primed to enter that spot for this team in 2014.
These two will be important in making a name for themselves while they can, but who knows how many other emerging starts there will be on the field tonight.
Will the U.S. Continue to Flourish Under Jurgen Klinsmann?
Since taking over for Bob Bradley, Klinsmann has had a lot of success with team USA. They have a chance to win three games in a row, and many of these players are getting a shot to impress a new leader that has no predetermined opinions of them.
Klinsmann still has a lot to prove in the shadow of Bradley, but it is apparent that right now he has this team heading in the right direction, even if it isn't his top squad.
USA will need to continue to develop around their new leader, but it appears that things are going a lot more smoothly than one would have imagined at this point in time.
It will remain to be seen how the top guys will play under him, but if he has been able to find this much success with his secondary guys, one can only imagine what he will be able to do with guys like Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan.
