NFL MVP 2011: Aaron Rodgers' Dominant Season Makes Him Easy Favorite to Win
Aaron Rodgers had the best season of his career, and even though he fell short in the playoffs, the Green Bay Packers quarterback is easily the clear-cut favorite to win the NFL MVP award.
Leading the Packers to a record of 15-1, Rodgers put the team on his back once again, proving to everyone that he is the most dangerous quarterback in the league.
Rodgers threw for 4,643 yards, averaging 310 yards per game. He completed 68 percent of his passes and had an astonishing touchdown-to-interception ratio at 45-6.

The Packers biggest star also led the league with a quarterback rating of 122.5, which was 12 points higher than second place. That alone tells you how much more dominant he was than everyone else.
The NFL is a quarterback league, and more often than not, a QB is going to win the MVP award. Since 2001, only two running backs have won the coveted award, and the rest have all been quarterbacks.
Rodgers was by far the best player all season long. Yes, Drew Brees broke records, but he still wasn't on point as much as Rodgers was during the year.
His early departure from the postseason is unfortunate, but it will not hinder his chances of winning the MVP award. The focus remains on his body of work during the regular season, and it's no secret he was the best.
Last year, Tom Brady won the NFL MVP award with ease, cruising through the regular season and crushing teams with lesser known players on his side.
When you compare what Brady did a year ago to Rodgers' stats from this season, one could argue that Rodgers is perhaps the biggest lock for the NFL MVP award ever.
The only category where Brady's numbers are better is the fact he only threw four interceptions. Rodgers may have thrown two more than him, but he also threw nine more touchdown passes.
Brady was given high praise for his exceptional season, which lead to him being the first ever unanimous choice for MVP. Rodgers had a better season this year, so it's a no-brainer that he will win the NFL MVP award.
It was a phenomenal year for the Packers, as they showed how powerful they could be. It's mostly thanks to the stellar season from Rodgers, which is why he deserves the award.
No other player in the NFL is as worthy as Rodgers is for the NFL MVP award. The evidence is easy to see, and it would be a robbery if he Rodgers wasn't honored with the award, as he is definitely the favorite.
