No. 3 North Carolina Gets Torched in Tallahassee by FSU, 90-57
The third-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels came in this game against Florida State as the top ranked offensive team in the entire country averaging 86.9 points per game.
However, it was the Seminoles offense that absolutely torched North Carolina's defense as shooting guard Devidas Dulkys hit eight triples totaling for a career-high 32 points in their 90-57 victory.
As a team Florida State hit 12-of-24 three-pointers, which even Shaquille O'Neal could tell you that is 50 percent (well, maybe everybody but him).

Surprisingly, only two other 'Noles reached double-digits which says a lot since they blew out arguably the most talented and potentially the best team in America come April.
Preseason All-American Harrison Barnes did not perform that well going 5-of-13 for 15 points, but the backcourt was absolutely brutal for the Heels.
Dexter Strickland is known for his slashing ability and he only had two shots on the day (four points), but point guard Kendall Marshall arguably had his worst day ever as a Tar Heel.
Marshall is second in the country averaging 9.9 assists per game, but he only had four assists compared to his seven turnovers that were all costly.
North Carolina had Raymond Felton and Ty Lawson ripping the nets down in their last two National Title runs, and Marshall is not the same type of players as those two. So, it is vital for the lefty to avoid being careless with the ball and getting his teammates involved at will.
Still, Marshall is one of the best court-vision passers in the nation, so as he goes so does this North Carolina team.
This was a game for memorable statistics that did not go in the Heels favor. North Carolina had 23 turnovers on top of getting an 0-for-7 shooting effort from freshman sensation P.J. Hairston.
Also, John Henson ate a bagel at the charity stripe missing all seven of his free throw attempts in the first half (he did not shoot one from the line in second half).
It should be noted, blowout losses in January are much more manageable now as opposed to late February or early March. Plus, remember Roy Williams had four losses in his two title runs with the Tar Heels, though it is debatable if the frontcourt can make up for the explosive output the backcourt has not consistently given this season.
The Heels (15-3) will look to bounce back against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg next week before they host an improving North Carolina State team on the road.
