Cowboys' Jerry Jones: Eagles Fan Told Me to 'Keep Doing the Job You're Doing' in 2024
Not even the team owner is immune from NFL trash talk.
During a Sunday appearance on 105.3 The Fan (h/t Jon Machota of The Athletic), Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said a Philadelphia Eagles fan told him to "keep doing the job you're doing this year."
The comment came ahead of Sunday's showdown between the Eagles and Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field and highlighted how Dallas has taken a step back in 2024.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
The Cowboys went 12-5 in each of the last three seasons but entered Sunday's game having been eliminated from playoff competition with a 7-8 record. Injuries are largely to blame, as quarterback Dak Prescott was limited to just eight contests.
Still, the team went 3-5 in those games Prescott started and has been a step behind the Eagles and Washington Commanders in the NFC East throughout the season.
Jones will surely be motivated to improve the team during the upcoming offseason, although he already committed to Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb with massive contract extensions and will likely look to do the same with pass-rusher Micah Parsons. That limits some of the outside moves the front office can make even with additional motivation.
For now, the Cowboys are chasing the Eagles in the rivalry and the division.
And one Philadelphia fan wasn't afraid to let Jones know it.
