Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II is trying to make things right after a young fan was unable to keep the game ball he was gifted by the two-time Pro Bowler.
Surtain said he gave the ball to the fan before Saturday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, only for the ball "to be taken away from him." He's hoping to get into contact with the kid's family:

The Broncos shared a video of Surtain giving the ball to the Broncos fan and offering a fist bump:
The sequence of events after that is unclear. One user on X claimed that Paycor Stadium security requested to get the football back, only to return it later on.
The Broncos would've secured an NFL playoff berth if they had beaten Cincinnati on the road. Quarterback Bo Nix and wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. forced overtime when they connected for a 25-yard touchdown pass.
Denver had two possessions to get the game-winning score as well but went three-and-out on both drives.
Bengals star Joe Burrow kept his team's postseason hopes alive by finding wideout Tee Higgins on a three-yard throw in the extra period.
Surtain and the Broncos defense had a hard time keeping the Cincy offense in check. Burrow threw for 412 yards and three scores on 49 attempts. Surtain finished with six tackles and recovered one fumble.
