Eagles' Jalen Hurts Out vs. Cowboys amid Concussion Protocol; Kenny Pickett to Start
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out of his team's Week 17 meeting with the Dallas Cowboys, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters earlier Friday that "it's going to be tough" for Hurts to get cleared from concussion protocol in time for Sunday.
Kenny Pickett is now in line to start with the Eagles looking to wrap up the NFC East and lock down the No. 2 seed in the NFC.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
The Eagles ruled Hurts out with a concussion during their Week 16 game against the Washington Commanders after he played in each of the team's first 14 contests.
Hurts has been largely excellent in 2024. He's completed 68.7 percent of his passes for 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. He's also run for 630 yards and 14 scores.
His presence is a major reason Philadelphia has realistic Super Bowl aspirations, which makes any injury a concern.
Pickett started 24 games in the previous two seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers and will look to keep the offense afloat one week after the Eagles lost to the Commanders.
