
Bill Miller Dies at 84; Former WR Won AFL Championships with Raiders, Dallas Texans
Bill Miller, a two-time AFL champion who played for three teams throughout his six years in the league, has died at the age of 84.
The Las Vegas Raiders, one of the organizations that Miller suited up for, announced his passing with a post social media.

In addition to playing for the Raiders during their AFL days in Oakland, he also was part of the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Texans. He won one of his two AFL championships with the Texans during the 1962 season.
Miller was selected by Dallas with the No. 11 pick in the 1962 AFL draft and was also picked by the Minnesota Vikings with the No. 30 pick in the 1962 NFL draft, but he went to Buffalo.
He wrapped up a three-year collegiate career at Miami before playing at the professional level, catching 103 passes for 1,456 yards and eight touchdowns as a member of the Hurricanes.
Miller spent the first two years of his NFL career with the Texans and Bills before he joined the Raiders for his final four seasons. He finished with a combined 141 receptions for 1,879 yards and 10 touchdowns across all three teams.
He recorded five catches for a game-high 84 yards and two touchdowns during the Raiders' 33-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl II.
Miller retired from playing at the end of the 1968 season, eventually returning to Miami and opening up a sports bar after spending three years as an assistant coach for the Bills.
