Week 16 Fantasy Football Rankings: Top Players, Sleepers and Positional Guide
Any fantasy football manager retaining a playoff pulse surely has a strong roster to thank for that.
In other words, while the stakes are heightened for Week 16 of the 2024 NFL season, so is the level of competition.
It will take your absolute best—and probably a little luck—to complete a title run, so we're here to help maximize your roster with rankings and sleepers at each of the four skill positions.
Quarterback
1 of 4
Top 10
1. Josh Allen, BUF (vs. NE)
2. Jalen Hurts, PHI (at WAS)
3. Joe Burrow, CIN (vs. CLE)
4. Lamar Jackson, BAL (vs. PIT)
5. Baker Mayfield, TB (at DAL)
6. Jayden Daniels, WAS (vs. PHI)
7. Kyler Murray, ARI (at CAR)
8. Sam Darnold, MIN (at SEA)
9. Jordan Love, GB (vs. NO)
10. Jared Goff, DET (at CHI)
Sleeper: Aaron Rodgers, NYJ (vs. LAR)
Has Rodgers re-entered the circle of trust? Things are trending that direction, at least. He has eight touchdown passes against a single interception over his last four outings. And in his last two, he has thrown for a combined 628 yards (while delivering an out-of-nowhere 45 rushing yards to boot on Sunday).
New York's receiving tandem of Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams is supremely skilled, and Rodgers is taking better advantage of the talent at his disposal. He'll now have the chance to take advantage of a favorable matchup against a Los Angeles Rams defense allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks, per Yahoo.
Running Back
2 of 4
Top 10
1. Saquon Barkley, PHI (at WAS)
2. Jahmyr Gibbs, DET (at CHI)
3. Bijan Robinson, ATL (vs. NYG)
4. Josh Jacobs, GB (vs. NO)
5. Derrick Henry, BAL (vs. PIT)
6. James Conner, ARI (at CAR)
7. Chase Brown, CIN (vs. CLE)
8. De'Von Achane, MIA (vs. SF)
9. Chuba Hubbard, CAR (vs. ARI)
10. James Cook, BUF (vs. NE)
Sleeper: Jerome Ford, CLE (at CIN)
With Nick Chubb knocked out by a broken foot, Ford has a chance to take complete control of Cleveland's backfield. He flashed his explosiveness on Sunday, taking one carry 62 yards for a score and tallying 42 scrimmage yards on his other eight touches.
The Bengals aren't necessarily a great matchup (16th in fantasy points allowed), but that may not matter. Ford's opportunity is too great to overlook, as Cleveland could be incredibly run-heavy after turning toward quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who has a 51.4 career completion percentage with one touchdown against seven interceptions in limited action.
Wide Receiver
3 of 4
Top 10
1. Ja'Marr Chase, CIN (vs. CLE)
2. Justin Jefferson, MIN (at SEA)
3. Puka Nacua, LAR (at NYJ)
4. Nico Collins, HOU (at KC)
5. Mike Evans, TB (at DAL)
6. A.J. Brown, PHI (at WAS)
7. Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET (at CHI)
8. CeeDee Lamb, DAL (vs. TB)
9. Tee Higgins, CIN (vs. CLE)
10. Davante Adams, NYJ (vs. LAR)
Sleeper: Romeo Doubs, GB (vs. NO)
Green Bay's target distribution can be a guessing game, which is never fun for fantasy managers to...well, manage. That said, there's production to be had in this passing attack, Doubs has claimed a decent chunk of it the past two weeks, turning 11 targets into 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
If Doubs can keep his involvement up, he should capitalize on a matchup with a New Orleans Saints defense allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to the position.
Tight End
4 of 4
Top 10
1. George Kittle, SF (at MIA)
2. Brock Bowers, LV (vs. JAX)
3. Jonnu Smith, MIA (vs. SF)
4. Trey McBride, ARI (at CAR)
5. Sam LaPorta, DET (at CHI)
6. Travis Kelce, KC (vs. HOU)
7. Mark Andrews, BAL (vs. PIT)
8. T.J. Hockenson, MIN (at SEA)
9. Tucker Kraft, GB (vs. NO)
10. Hunter Henry, NE (at BUF)
Sleeper: Brenton Strange, JAX (at LV)
The target volume that propped up Evan Engram ahead of his season-ending shoulder injury has apparently now been placed on Strange. The second-year tight end erupted in Engram's absence on Sunday, snagging 11 of his 12 targets for a career-high 73 yards.
Strange's sample size is almost non-existent, but his opportunity is tremendous. Adding to the appeal is a matchup with a Las Vegas Raiders defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends.
