Report: Odell Beckham Jr. Has 'Short List' and 'Focus' for Next NFL Contract
The Miami Dolphins and Odell Beckham Jr. agreed to mutually part ways on Friday, clearing the way for the veteran wideout to either be claimed on waivers or become a free agent.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Beckham has a "short list" of teams he's interested in playing for, and the "focus for Beckham is to land in the right situation."

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
Beckham's journey has been a rocky one since the early days of his NFL career when he was a Pro Bowler in each of his first three seasons and had emerged as one of the most promising offensive weapons in the game.
His 2017 season was cut short due to an ankle fracture, and his Giants tenure was cut short after the 2018 campaign after a falling out with the team. He spent parts of three seasons with the Cleveland Browns and did exceed 1,000 receiving yards in the 2019 campaign, but after another falling out was cut midway through the 2021 season.
He picked up with the Los Angeles Rams later that season and was a reliable contributor, even catching a touchdown pass in the Super Bowl before tearing his ACL in that game.
Beckham didn't catch on with an NFL team in the 2022 season before signing with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023. Across 14 games he caught just 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
He made even less of an impact for the Dolphins this season, notching nine catches for 55 yards in nine games before his release.
"It's as simple as, what's the best for both him and the team moving forward. We thought it was a good time to go that direction," head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters. "He's a professional that has diligently chopped wood. I know his expectations. When you communicate transparently, I know where he's at... This is the best for both parties."
At this point, it's fair to question how much the 32-year-old has left to offer an NFL team. He hasn't been an elite player since 2016 and hasn't made much of a contribution, in general, since the 2021 postseason. Perhaps a veteran team in need of depth will come calling, but it won't be a signing that moves the needle much.
