Jerry Jones Says Cowboys Won't Tank for NFL Draft Pick: Success Is Very Important
The Dallas Cowboys are focused on finishing the season on a high note.
During an appearance on 105.3 The Fan on Friday, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stressed the importance of having "success" and that the team would not approach the end of a season with a high draft pick in mind.
"We want everybody making the plays and having the opportunity to have success," Jones said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. "Success is very important. ... We'll go out there and win every down."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
Dallas is currently 5-8 and in third place in the NFC East. While the team is not mathematically eliminated, the chances of making it are slim, and a loss plus a Washington Commanders win in Week 15 would officially seal its fate.
This disappointing season comes after three consecutive playoff appearances and major contract extensions that were handed out to quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
Prescott is done for the season, as are major contributors like DeMarcus Lawrence, Zack Martin and DeMarvion Overshown.
Still, Dallas could salvage some positive momentum with a strong end to the season and use that to return to the top of the league in 2025 and beyond.
The Cowboys will close the season with games against the Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles and the Commanders.
