Daniel Jones: Looking to 'Grow,' See Where I Can Help in Vikings' Offense After Trade
After being traded to the Minnesota Vikings, Daniel Jones is focused on growing and contributing to the team's offense.
"I think you're always looking to grow and improve and to work on your craft." Jones said, according to ESPN's Kevin Seifert. "See where you can get better and pick up certain things. So yeah, I'm looking forward to that, but more so just to help out, to be part of a good quarterback room, part of a good offense and see where I can help."
The former New York Giant was released last week after being demoted and spent his first official day with the Vikings on Friday.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
Before his trade, he played in 10 games this season, accumulating 2,070 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Jones signed a one-year contract with the Vikings' practice squad, where he will spend most of the remainder of the year learning from starter Sam Darnold, who is having a career year, and the stellar quarterback coaches that are with the franchise.
He acknowledged that he'll need to spend significant time on the practice squad learning the new and unfamiliar offense, according to Seifert.
For now, backup quarterback Nick Mullens and third-stringer Brett Rypien remain head coach Kevin O'Connell's go-to options following the season-ending injury to J.J. McCarthy. A series of events would need to unfold for Jones to see the field as it stands.
"You're really doing two things at once," O'Connell said, according to Seifert. "You're building a longer-term foundation, but at the same time keeping a mindset on if Daniel is called upon to play, we want to make sure we're not wasting time on the present and we make sure he's ready to step in if need be."
