Eagles: Saquon Barkley's Record-Setting Ball Was Returned by Fan After TD vs. Rams
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley got his record-setting ball back after throwing it into the crowd during Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Rams.
The fan who caught Barkley's ball after he set a single-season franchise rushing yards record returned it in exchange for a signed replacement, according to TMZ Sports.
"One of our staff members retrieved the ball from the fan and gave them another game ball signed by Saquon in return," the Chargers told TMZ. "The fan was great and understanding."

Barkley set the Eagles record of 255 rushing yards in a single game with a fourth-quarter touchdown to ice a victory over the Rams. The running back celebrated by tossing the ball into the stands.
After the play, the broadcast caught Barkley asking for the ball on the sidelines, only to be told he had given it away.
Barkley is earning MVP buzz in his first season away from the New York Giants. The Eagles' biggest free agent signing of the offseason leads the NFL with 223 carries, 1,392 rushing yards and 6.2 yards per attempt.
During the Eagles' 37-20 win over the Rams on Sunday, Barkley started out the second half by running in a 70-yard touchdown. He followed that up with a 72-yard score in the fourth quarter to set the franchise record.
Barkley added 47 receiving yards in the win to become the 13th player in NFL history to record at least 300 yards from scrimmage in a single game.
The Eagles star might be hoping for to have an MVP trophy to commemorate his accomplishments by the end of the 2024 campaign. For now, the game ball from his historic performance against the Rams will serve as a memento.
