Bianca Belair Heel Turn?, Gunther Losing His Edge and More WWE Raw Takes
The November 25 edition of WWE Raw was the go-home edition ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames.
On Friday's SmackDown, Jade Cargill had been taken out indefinitely by a mystery attack. On Monday, Bayley stepped up to take her place and help Bianca Belair defeat Nia Jax to earn the WarGames advantage.
Damian Priest again got the upper hand on Gunther, sending him crashing through the announce table with a Razor's Edge.
The Judgment Day survived the challenge of The War Raiders in a World Tag Team Championship match.
Raw general manager Adam Pearce unveiled the Women's Intercontinental Championship with a tournament starting next week to crown its first winner.
This show set the final stage for Survivor Series with solid action and important reveals for the future.
Bianca Belair Must Turn Heel to Return to Main Event Scene
1 of 4Someone attacked Jade Cargill. This is a mystery that could drastically change the women's division.
While the obvious answer would be Nia Jax or Liv Morgan took her out for the sake of WarGames, a more interesting answer would be Bianca Belair attacked her own partner.
The EST of WWE showed her aggression in and out of the ring throughout Monday's show, selling her frustration about losing her tag team partner.
It could be a front for a different angle all together, though. Belair has never played the heel on the main roster, which would make a turn all the more interesting.
She is one of the best wrestlers in WWE, and her match with Nia Jax this week was one of the best The Irresistible Force has had in her career.
Belair simply needs a fresh angle. A turn and eventual feud with Cargill would keep her fresh for years to come in a main event scene that needs her.
Gunther Has Lost His Edge
2 of 4Gunther looked unstoppable in 2024 until he ran into Cody Rhodes.
His loss to The American Nightmare at Crown Jewel alone was not enough to hurt The Ring General, but it has set him on a path.
The follow-up should have led to further dominance from Gunther. He should have destroyed opponents to reestablish himself as unstoppable.
Instead, he has looked like the lesser competitor next to a dangerously focused Damian Priest.
Week after week, The Punishment has got the better of the world heavyweight champion.
While it would make sense for Priest to look dangerous, his week-to-week dominance has been over the top.
This is particularly a problem for Gunther whose entire presentation is built on an air of invincibility. He is slowly becoming just another heel.
There is still time to right the course, but the Austrian needs to make up for everything Priest has done to him. He must dominate at Survivor Series.
Big Mistake for The Judgment Day to Retain Tag Team Championship
3 of 4The War Raiders returned with mystique, quickly dominating the tag team division to earn a shot at The Judgment Day and the World Tag Team Championship.
This was the perfect chance to restart the division similar to the Motor City Machine Guns capturing the WWE Tag Team Championships just weeks after debuting on SmackDown.
Instead, Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh survived the challenge, defeating Erik and Ivar with some assistance from Carlito and Dominik Mysterio.
Even if a rematch is coming, it's much less likely The War Raiders will win.
The rest of the Raw tag team division is struggling to stand out, trading wins and losses without gaining momentum.
It was the perfect time for The War Raiders to win the gold, but that time has passed now.
Lyra Valkyria Should Be First Women's Intercontinental Champion
4 of 4WWE has a chance to redefine the women's division with the Women's United States Championship and Women's Intercontinental Championship.
A new hierarchy will be established, elevating new talent that struggle to get regular television time.
While SmackDown could crown either Chelsea Green or Michin to create a fresh titleholder, Raw has one clear star who would benefit most from capturing the gold: Lyra Valkyria.
The Valkyrie arrived on Raw with major hype but has struggled to stay in the spotlight particularly after Becky Lynch's departure.
The 28-year-old has barely been on television lately, though she does stand out as one of more credible performers on the roster.
Valkyria's in-ring talent would be showcased weekly as champion and help her establish herself as the workhorse of the red brand.
