Video: Georgia Student Hits $800K 'College GameDay' FG; Pat McAfee Shares Viral Photo
University of Georgia student Henry Silver crushed Pat McAfee's weekly kicking contest on Saturday's edition of ESPN College GameDay, drilling a 33-yard field goal to trigger $800,000 in prizes and donations.
Prior to the kick, McAfee explained that a student named Belle Sessions won the drawing to serve as the kicker, but since she didn't think she could make the field goal, she gave her spot to Silver.

They agreed to split what was initially supposed to be a $150,000 prize if Silver made the kick. Before the kick, McAfee bumped the prize to $200,000 and then doubled it to $400,000.
McAfee also announced that he would match the $400,000 prize with a $400,000 donation to hurricane relief efforts.
Silver expressed a belief he could make the kick since he kicked footballs before and is a soccer player, and his confidence was well founded, as he drilled the 33-yard field goal right down the middle with room to spare.
Before kicking, Silver said he was from Indiana and is an Indianapolis Colts fan, which was fitting since McAfee was a Pro Bowl and All-Pro punter with the Colts from 2009 to 2016.
A few hours later, McAfee took to X to share a childhood photo of Silver getting his picture taken with McAfee, presumably at Colts training camp:
Silver making the kick and winning himself $200,000 was a full-circle moment, and undoubtedly one of the greatest happenings in the history of McAfee's kicking contest.
Now, the wait is on to see if the No. 12 Georgia Bulldogs will be able to make it a perfect day in Athens when they host the No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
