Every NHL Franchise's Mount Rushmore of Forwards Since 1990
Every NHL team has its collection of players whose accomplishments put them well above their teammates. Some are among their club's all-time leading scorers, some garner many individual awards, and some may have led their teams to hockey's holy grail, the Stanley Cup.
It's become fashionable in recent years for NHL fans to pick four players to put on their club's "Mount Rushmore" as their all-time greatest.
For many teams with a long history, it can be easy to pick four all-time greats. However, some teams have so many great players at every position that it can be difficult to choose.
We've decided to have fun with this by limiting the category to the Mount Rushmore of forwards. This list is narrowed to 1990-91 as those players would be familiar to most fans today. It's easier to make the call when you've seen the player in action during his prime.
We've also included the performances of players who skated for teams that relocated.
Utah Hockey Club includes players who skated for the Arizona Coyotes and the original Winnipeg Jets. The current Jets' list included those who played for the Atlanta Thrashers, the Carolina Hurricanes included the Hartford Whalers, the Colorado Avalanche included the Quebec Nordiques and the Dallas Stars included the Minnesota North Stars.
Do you agree with our Mount Rushmore of forwards for your favorite NHL club? Is there a player we skipped that you believe belongs here? Let us know in the app comments below.
