Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott Will Be Available vs. Eagles After Disciplinary Benching
After missing Sunday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons due to disciplinary reasons, Ezekiel Elliott will reportedly be back on the field this week against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Per ESPN's Todd Archer, Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said the running back will be available on Sunday, though he has not met with Elliot since last Friday's meeting.
The disciplinary action came after Elliot missed or was late to several team meetings over the last few weeks, per USA Today's Jerrett Bell, and the final straw was Elliot missing a team meeting on the Friday ahead of Dallas' Week 9 matchup.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
"Zeke couldn't make the trip," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on the pregame show for the team's radio network (h/t Bell). "He was being punished. I know Zeke is the first to recognize the discipline involved in meetings."
Archer noted last week that Sunday was the first time Elliot had been a healthy scratch from the lineup in a game when the Cowboys' playoff positioning has not been decided.
Since returning to Dallas on a one-year deal after a year with the New England Patriots, Elliot hasn't had the season he hoped for. He has just 149 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns and is on pace for a career-low in rushing yards.
In his last season with the Cowboys in 2022, Elliot had 876 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, a much more productive version of himself than Dallas got this season.
Amid Elliot's early season struggles, Rico Dowdle has been the Cowboys' top contributor in the backfield with 321 rushing yards. Dallas also recently elevated Dalvin Cook from the practice squad at the end of October, though he has just eight carries for 20 yards thus far.
