Jets' Haason Reddick Declines to Explain Ending Contract Holdout After Patriots Loss
New York Jets defensive end Haason Reddick has ended his contract holdout with the team and declined to comment on the situation after Sunday's game.
When asked about details following the Jets' 25-22 loss against the New England Patriots on Sunday, Reddick announced to the media, "I have nothing to say as far as the holdout."

He chose instead, to focus on how he can get better on the defensive end before the Jets' next game.
"The only thing that I'm worried about right now is what can I do to be better, what can I do to get myself fully up to speed," Reddick told reporters. " We got a Thursday night game and that's the only thing I'm focused on right now."
Reddick was traded by the Philadelphia Eagles in March and declined to report his new team. He ultimately requested a trade during training camp and was dropped by his long-term agent, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.
Frustrated by the lack of a long-term deal, Reddick sat out the entire offseason before reaching an agreement with the Jets on Oct. 21, which officially removed him from the non-football injury list.
The 30-year-old will collect the remainder of his 2024 base salary, roughly $9 million, along with additional incentives. This follows $12 million in fines accrued by the two-time Pro Bowler during his holdout, per Cimini. The incentives can reportedly help Reddick regain some of the money he lost in fines.
Before the season, Reddick was set to earn a non-guaranteed $14.25 million base salary in the final year of his three-year, $45 million contract with the Eagles. The Jets extended a long-term offer upon his trade, but no agreement was reached, as Reddick felt he deserved compensation reflecting his status as a top NFL edge rusher, according to Cimini.
It remains uncertain whether Reddick will be available or ready for the Jets' Thursday night game against the 6-2 Houston Texans.
