Jeff Fisher Rams: Former Titans Coach Reportedly Leaning Towards St. Louis
The St. Louis Rams may be getting their man very soon.
According to a report from Howard Balzer of 101ESPN.com, sources familiar with the thinking of former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher say he is on the verge of accepting the Rams' vacant head coach job.
Nothing is final yet, but Balzer has it on good authority that Fisher likes what he sees when he looks at the Rams. They have a potential superstar quarterback in Sam Bradford, a No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and are in the market for a general manager.

In essence, the Rams are a team that Fisher can take and make his own.
Fisher has spent this week weighing interest from the Rams and the Miami Dolphins. Earlier on Friday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Fisher had limited his coaching options to St. Louis and Miami, and that he would announce his decision next week.
The Rams are fresh off a 2-14 season that saw them start 0-6 and ultimately lose their final seven games. Steve Spagnuolo, who went 10-38 in three seasons, was fired on Monday.
Fisher was the head coach of the Titans for parts of 17 seasons before he and the franchise mutually parted ways in 2011. Fisher compiled a record of 142-120 with the Titans, making the playoffs six times and going to the Super Bowl once.
Rams fans will be pleased to remember that Fisher has developed a young quarterback before. The Titans drafted Steve McNair the year after Fisher took over head coaching duties, and McNair went on to become a three-time Pro Bowler and an MVP.
Fisher had no such luck with Vince Young.
If Fisher ends up going to the Dolphins, the Rams will turn their attention to other options. Schefter reported that the Rams were planning to meet with Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton on Friday.
