NFL Rumors: Aaron Rodgers Expected to Play for Jets vs. Patriots amid Injuries
Despite having multiple injuries to his leg and ankle, Aaron Rodgers is expected to play for the New York Jets on Sunday.
On Friday's episode of Good Morning Football (starts at 1:00 mark), NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said the Jets anticipate Rodgers starting against the New England Patriots while he deals with ankle, knee and hamstring injuries.

Rodgers first popped up on the injury report before Week 5 due to a knee issue. His injury designation changed to an ankle issue leading up to Week 6 after his leg bent awkwardly while being tackled in the third quarter of New York's 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London.
Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich told reporters on Wednesday that Rodgers' hamstring issue is a new one that started acting up after their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"It is new," Ulbrich said. "It's something that kind of flared up this past game. They're going to assess it all week long. He's going to treat his butt off like he always does. Don't anticipate this affecting him playing."
Despite all of the injuries, Rodgers practiced on Wednesday and Thursday this week. He was limited on both days.
If Rodgers were unable to suit up, the Jets would turn to Tyrod Taylor as their quarterback. The 35-year-old's only action so far this season was in garbage time in Week 1 when he finished 6-of-8 for 36 yards and one touchdown in a 32-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
New York has lost four straight games and enters Week 8 with a 2-6 record overall. The team has already fired head coach Robert Saleh, replaced Nathaniel Hackett with Todd Downing as offensive playcaller and acquired Davante Adams in an attempt to provide a spark.
The results haven't shown up yet, but the Patriots could provide an outlet for some hope. The Jets' best all-around performance of the season was their 24-3 victory over New England in Week 3 at MetLife Stadium.
Rodgers finished 27-of-35 for 281 yards and two touchdowns against the Patriots. The Jets put up a season-high 400 yards of total offense.
The Jets and Patriots will play at Gillette Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
