NFL Trade Rumors: Raiders Eyed as Possible Seller by Teams After Davante Adams Deal
Some NFL teams are speculating the Las Vegas Raiders could decide to sell at the trade deadline after dealing star wideout Davante Adams to the New York Jets in exchange for a conditional third-round pick, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.
Graziano named wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, guard Cody Whitehair and defensive tackle John Jenkins as potential trade candidates.
Graziano noted he does not believe the Raiders plan to deal star defensive end Maxx Crosby.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
After benching QB1 Gardner Minshew in favor of Aidan O'Connell amid the team's 2-4 start to the season, Raiders general manager Tom Telesco could be looking at amassing draft capital in order to select a new starting quarterback in 2025.
It will be nothing new for the Raiders to take on these opponents without Adams, who has been sidelined since Week 3 with a hamstring injury amid his requested trade from the team.
In his absence, rookie tight end Brock Bowers has been getting the majority of targets from the Raiders quarterbacks, while Meyers leads the team's wideouts with 273 receiving yards on 25 catches for one touchdown.
Mike Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle reported in September that the San Francisco 49ers had previously expressed interest in Meyers before extending star receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
Continuing to get a larger target share in Adams' absence could potentially draw in more suitors for Meyers, who has one year remaining on his contract after this season and could be a solid option for a contending team in need of depth behind an established WR1.
Whitehair is playing on an expiring contract, as is Jenkins, making their deals both potential rentals at the deadline.
Crosby could also potentially be viewed as a rental given that his contract has a potential out due to not being guaranteed after the 2024 season, although the Raiders would take on more than $23 million in dead cap for the next two seasons to move him, per Spotrac.
That doesn't seem to be the issue with a potential Crosby trade as much as his value for the Raiders. ESPN's Adam Schefter recently said on the Pat McAfee Show that the Raiders reportedly turned down a first-round pick this year in order to keep their star pass rusher on the roster.
The Raiders are set to face the Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals before the upcoming deadline. How the team performs in these next three contests could determine how ready they are to sell by Nov. 5.
