Fantasy Football Trade Market: Price Check on NFL's Biggest Stars After Week 6
On the fantasy football trade market, timing is everything. You must seize the moment when a buy-low window opens and sell assets at peak value.
So, we've monitored star players with fluctuating or depressed stock values through the first six weeks of the NFL season.
Are you ready to tank?
If so, please consider trading your top players following one of their most productive weeks to acquire premium draft capital or multiple contributors in return.
If you would like to bolster your roster for a title run, target underperforming premier players who could break out of a slump in the coming weeks.
Lastly, don't forget to stash rookies with upside. They can help you win your league as their roles expand in the second half of the season.

Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets
Week 6: N/A
2024 Season: 65 carries, 197 yards, 2 TDs; 21 catches, 148 yards, TD
Hall's buy-low window is still open, and managers should be sending their best offers for him before the Jets play the Buffalo Bills on Monday night.
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, interim Jets head coach Jeff Ulbrich plans to commit to the ground game.
Over the last two weeks, Hall has recorded 19 rush attempts, getting just 12 touches in back-to-back games. He will probably see a significant uptick in touches going forward, which means more opportunities to rack up yards and touchdowns.
Buy Hall for: Derrick Henry, Kyren Williams, David Montgomery
Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Arizona Cardinals
Week 6: N/A
2024 Season: 17 catches, 279 yards, 4 TDs
In the Cardinals' previous outing, Harrison exited with a concussion and a blank box-score sheet.
As a 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate, his receiving numbers are underwhelming, especially compared to Malik Nabers' and Brian Thomas Jr.'s season statistics.
However, managers should be patient with Harrison's development. He scored four touchdowns in three games between Weeks 2 and 4, but clearly, he is still working on his connection with quarterback Kyler Murray.
The Ohio State product has a 48.6 percent catch rate. As he spends more time on the field with Murray, his receiving yards totals will increase in the coming weeks.
Likely to miss at least one game in concussion protocol, Harrison is an intriguing buy-low candidate for managers with a long-term roster-building approach.
Buy Harrison for: Chris Olave, Davante Adams, Deebo Samuel Sr.
DK Metcalf, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Week 6: 3 catches, 48 yards
2024 Season: 31 catches, 469 yards, 2 TDs
Metcalf hasn't been on the same page with quarterback Geno Smith. Over the last two weeks, he has hauled in seven of his 18 targets for 103 scoreless yards.
Don't worry about his chemistry with Smith in a new offense, though. They're in their third year together, and the two-time Pro Bowl wideout racked up 104-plus receiving yards for three consecutive weeks in September.
Coming off a mini bye week, with time to tie up loose ends, expect Smith and Metcalf to reestablish their strong rapport as a key part of the Seahawks' No. 1-ranked passing attack.
Buy Metcalf for: Garrett Wilson, Chris Godwin, DeVonta Smith

Bijan Robinson, RB, Atlanta Falcons
Week 6: 15 carries, 95 yards, 2 TDs; 3 catches, 10 yards
2024 Season: 82 carries, 380 yards, 3 TDs; 21 catches, 161 yards
Managers in full rebuild mode can dangle Robinson on the trade block to acquire premium draft picks or multiple players in a package deal.
Most managers took the 2023 No. 8 pick in the first round of drafts and expected more of him through six weeks. He hasn't rushed for more than 97 yards in any game this season, and before Week 5, he had just one touchdown.
Following Robinson's two-touchdown performance, you can sell his stock closer to peak value and use the return to retool your roster for the 2025 campaign.
Sell Robinson for: CeeDee Lamb, Nico Collins, 2025 1st-round pick
Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets
Week 6: N/A
2024 Season: 33 catches, 292 yards, 2 TDs, 1 carry, 5 yards
As mentioned with our suggestion to buy Breece Hall's stock because he will likely see more touches in a run-heavy offense, Wilson may see a decline in opportunities through the air.
Moreover, with rumors swirling around the Jets and disgruntled Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams, Wilson may be the team's No. 2 wide receiver in a few weeks.
Managers who expected Wilson to be a bona fide WR1 on their fantasy roster should prepare to unload him before he sees fewer targets because of a shift in offensive philosophy or the addition of a three-time All-Pro receiver.
Sell Wilson for: DK Metcalf, Marvin Harrison Jr. Jayden Reed
Cole Kmet, TE, Chicago Bears
Week 6: 5 catches, 70 yards, 2 TDs
2024 Season: 26 catches, 289 yards, 3 TDs
In Week 6, Kmet led all tight ends in fantasy scoring. But don't expect him to put up big numbers with wideouts DJ Moore, Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen all commanding targets in Chicago's aerial attack.
Except for Week 3 when he finished second in fantasy scoring among tight ends, he's ranked 17th or lower in fantasy points among players at his position in all the other weeks.
You have seldom had an opportunity to sell Kmet's stock at peak value and now would be the perfect time following his first-place finish among TEs.
Sell Kmet for: Pat Freiermuth, T.J. Hockenson, David Njoku

Trey Benson, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Week 6: 30 carries, 107 yards; 2 catches, 12 yards
2024 Season: 5 carries, 26 yards
When the Cardinals don't have to play on a negative game script while trailing early, they may evenly split early-down carries between James Conner and Benson.
In two out of four games active, Benson has handled double-digit carries. In a blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers last Sunday, he broke free on a 20-yard run, the Cardinals' biggest gain on the ground in that contest.
Conner averages 15 carries per outing, but he could see a decline in workload in the back half of his age-29 term. Managers should hold on to Benson's stock, hoping he will get more carries in a competitive game against the Los Angeles Chargers this week.
We could get a better idea of how the Cardinals want to divvy up their carries in a close matchup.
Kimani Vidal, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
Week 6: 4 carries, 11 yards; 2 catches, 40 yards, TD
2024 Season: 4 carries, 11 yards; 2 catches, 40 yards, TD
Last Saturday, the Chargers placed Gus Edwards on injured reserve (ankle), which allowed Vidal to move into the primary backup role behind starting running back J.K. Dobbins.
Though Dobbins handled the lion's share of touches, Vidal racked up 51 scrimmage yards and scored a touchdown with only six touches.
With two receptions for 40 yards in the previous outing, Vidal could carve out a consistent role in the Chargers' short passing attack. Managers in half- or full-PPR leagues should hold on to him to monitor his role in the coming weeks.
Devaughn Vele, WR, Denver Broncos
Week 6: 4 catches, 78 yards
2024 Season: 12 catches, 117 yards
The Broncos' aerial attack doesn't offer much fantasy upside with rookie Bo Nix's mostly underwhelming passing numbers, but managers shouldn't ignore Vele's target share when he's active.
In two games, Nix has targeted Vele 14 times. Last week, he led the Broncos in receiving yards and tied Courtland Sutton and Javonte Williams for a team-leading six targets.
Vele isn't a typical rookie seventh-rounder. At 6'5", 210 pounds, he could be a chain-mover and red-zone target in an offense struggling to convert on third downs and inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
