Davante Adams Trade Rumors: Talks for Raiders WR Expected to 'Intensify' Next Week
Trade talks involving Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams are expected to "intensify next week," according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Schefter noted that trade discussions are "not thought to be as far along as some have intimated" so far, but Adams' hamstring injury is also partly responsible for the lack of traction in negotiations.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported on Tuesday that the 31-year-old informed the Raiders that he preferred to be traded. He was later ruled out of Las Vegas' Week 5 matchup with the Denver Broncos due to the injury.
The Raiders have been inconsistent throughout Adams' tenure with the organization, owning an overall record of 10-11 since he was acquired by the team in a blockbuster March 2022 deal with the Green Bay Packers. The Packers received a first-round pick and a second-round selection in exchange for the star.
Las Vegas has let interested teams know that Adams will only be moved for a future second-round pick, per Schefter. The New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens are all reportedly monitoring the situation.
However, Baltimore hasn't been in recent contact with Las Vegas despite a cryptic social media post from the receiver.
"Adams posted a picture of the poet Edgar Allen Poe on social media Friday, leading to speculation that the situation with the Ravens was gaining steam," Schefter wrote. "But according to sources, the Raiders and Ravens haven't had any contact since early last week."
Rapoport revealed on Saturday that the Jets are Adams' top choice for a potential landing spot, but the Saints have been the "most aggressive" team in discussions. He noted that New York has the cap space to absorb the receiver's contract, while New Orleans would need to rework his deal.
Adams has a cap hit of $25.35 million this season and still has two more years remaining on his contract, per Spotrac. He'll carry cap hits of $44.1 million in both 2025 and 2026.
The six-time Pro Bowl receiver hauled in 18 receptions for 209 yards and a touchdown in his first three appearances of the season.
