Aaron Rodgers Says He's 'Really Good Friends' with Jets' Saleh, Dismisses Tension
Aaron Rodgers is pushing back on any perceived tension between himself and New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh.
The Jets quarterback spoke about his friendship with Saleh on Friday and said that the outside world is trying to "put a wedge" between the two but that the effort is not working.
"We're really good friends," Rodgers said, per Rich Cimini of ESPN. "We enjoy each other. We spend time almost every day in his office talking about things and talking about the energy of the team, focus of the team and what we need to get done, how I can help him out, how he can help me out. So we've got a great relationship."

Saleh also said that his relationship with Rodgers was "fantastic," per Cimini.
This is the duo's second season together, although it is essentially their first from an on-field perspective. Rodgers' 2023 season ended after just four plays when he suffered an Achilles tear, but now the team is seeing what the 40-year-old can bring to the team.
New York is 2-2 currently and has shown glimpses of greatness but also some old patterns. A 24-3 Week 3 victory over the New England Patriots showed exactly what the team is capable of, but a 10-9 loss the following week to the Tennessee Titans looked reminiscent of struggles the team has had over the past decade.
Rodgers has thrown for 849 yards with five touchdowns and one interception through the first four games. He will hope to build on this and help lead the team back to the postseason for the first time since 2010.
That journey will continue in Week 5 when the Jets face the Minnesota Vikings in London. Kickoff is set for 9:30 a.m. ET.
