Falcons' Kirk Cousins Says He Was 'Sick to My Stomach' After Loss to Mahomes, Chiefs
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins couldn't help but relive some of the moments that might've changed the outcome in his team's 22-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Cousins told reporters he "was pretty sick to my stomach walking off the field" after the Falcons failed to take down the two-time reigning Super Bowl champions.

NFL coach calls CFB transfer players 'clowns'
Atlanta twice knocked on the door in the red zone but was unable to get what would've been a go-ahead score in the fourth quarter. Cousins couldn't hit wide receiver Drake London on fourth down with 4:08 left and then running back Bijan Robinson lost three yards on a 4th-and-1 on the 13-yard line inside the final minute.
For Falcons fans and players, the frustration was magnified because the Chiefs seemingly got away with pass interference in the end zone one week after similar contact on a Kansas City player was flagged.
Atlanta could've had a first down at the 1-yard line and instead saw a 4th-and-5 end with the incompletion to London.
Earning a victory Chiefs a week after they upset the Philadelphia Eagles would've a great way for the Falcons to start the year.
Perhaps Cousins and his teammates can channel their dissatisfaction in a positive way over the next few weeks.
In its next three games, Atlanta hosts the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before hitting the road to play the Carolina Panthers. Reeling off three straight wins over NFC South foes would change the complexion of its season a bit.
