Raiders' Pierce Stands By 'Business Decisions' Comment: 'I Don't Bite My Tongue'
After an embarrassing loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, head coach Antonio Pierce called out individuals on his team for making "business decisions" while indicating that the coaching staff would make some "business decisions" of their own moving forward.
On Monday, Pierce doubled down on his comments saying, "I don't bite my tongue," per The Athletic's Vic Tafur. When asked about what his business decisions would entail, he kept things vague.
"Whatever helps the Raiders win," he said. "Right now that performance isn't going to help any team win, let alone the Raiders."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
The Raiders had no answers for the Panthers on Sunday as Andy Dalton, who made his first start of the year, totaled 319 passing yards and three touchdowns, the first 300-plus yard, three-touchdown performance by a quarterback this season.
Running back Chuba Hubbard also collected 114 yards on the ground and Carolina's 36 points marked its highest-scoring performance since the 2022 season.
On offense, Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew had 214 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception. Aidan O'Connell stepped in for Minshew late and completed nine of his 12 passes for 82 yards and a touchdown.
While Pierce didn't give an exact answer about what changes he'll be making this week, he indicated that he's not set on Minshew being the starter moving forward when he was asked about personnel changes under center.
"I think we've gotta get with the players and just evaluate everything from yesterday first," he said, per ESPN's Paul Gutierrez.
Pierce took over as interim head coach of the Raiders last season after Josh McDaniels was fired, and he found a little bit of success as Las Vegas went 5-4 under Pierce. His debut season started with a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, but the Raiders bounced back to pick up a big win on the road against the Baltimore Ravens.
While Week 2's result showed signs of Las Vegas trending upward, Sunday's loss to the Panthers made it clear the Raiders still have work to do.
