The Duke men's basketball team sent the hype train into overdrive Friday night by posting photos of superstar freshman Cooper Flagg in his Blue Devils uniform.
Pics from a Flagg photoshoot were posted to the official Duke Men's Basketball account on X, and they may have gotten Duke fans even more excited for the upcoming 2024-25 college basketball season than they already were:

Flagg is perhaps the most highly anticipated recruit to enter the college ranks in years, as he was the No. 1 overall prospect in his class and is considered a huge favorite to be the first overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
As he enters the college ranks, Flagg already has a ton of major accolades to his credit, including Gatorade National Men's Athlete of the Year, National High School Player of the Year and USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year.
Additionally, the 6'9" forward who starred at Montverde Academy in Florida was a McDonald's All-American this year, along with being part of the Nike Hoop Summit and Jordan Brand Classic.
Flagg's most impressive achievement may be the fact that he was chosen for the Select Team at Team USA training camp over the summer.
He practiced and scrimmaged with the U.S. team that went on to win a gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, and he left a sizable impression.
Per Joe Vardon and Sam Amick of The Athletic, the majority of players polled at Team USA camp voted Flagg as the Select Team's best player, which is no small feat since the Select Team was primarily comprised of NBA players.
Flagg is expected to make a similar and immediate impact at the collegiate level, as CBS Sports' Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander polled 100 Division I college basketball coaches with 36 percent of them naming Flagg as the player who will be best during the 2024-25 season, making him the leading vote getter.
Although he is just 17 years old, all signs point toward Flagg being a superstar right out of the gates, which figures to make Duke a leading national title contender.
The Blue Devils have not won a national championship since 2015, but with Flagg in the fold, a strong argument can be made for them being the team to beat.
