Falcons HC on Criticism of Kirk Cousins' MNF Struggles: 'That's a Lot of Fun for TV'
Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris isn't seriously concerned about the struggles of Kirk Cousins on Monday Night Football heading into a Week 2 clash with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday.
"That's a lot of fun for television," Morris said, via ESPN's Marc Raimondi. "It's good stuff to talk about."
"All of those things, you've [still] got to go out and play and you got to prepare," he added. "You got to trust your process and go out there and win."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
Cousins has a record of 3-10 on Monday Night Football throughout his career (h/t Raimondi). This includes a nine-game losing streak on Mondays from 2014 to 2019, the longest among all quarterbacks in NFL history.
He also called his subpar record on Monday Night Football "a dated narrative," per Raimondi.
After signing a massive four-year contract worth $180 million with the Falcons in free agency, Cousins' debut with the team left a lot to be desired. The veteran completed 61.6 percent of his throws for just 155 yards in a Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, passing for one touchdown against two interceptions.
Cousins was expected to thrive alongside wide receiver Drake London and tight end Kyle Pitts, but the former first-round picks combined for a mere 41 yards on five catches against Pittsburgh.
Although he has four Pro Bowl nods under his belt, Cousins has been criticized for his performance in high-profile games throughout his career. He owns a record of just 1-3 in four playoff starts with Washington and Minnesota.
He'll attempt to bounce back and help the Falcons earn their first win of the year against an Eagles secondary that allowed Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love to throw for 260 yards in Week 1.
Kickoff for Monday night's matchup is at 8:15 p.m. ET.
