Carson Beck, No. 1 Georgia Called Out By CFB Fans After Avoiding Upset vs. Kentucky
Georgia came into Saturday's matchup against Kentucky looking like one of, if not the best team in the country.
But the No. 1 Bulldogs struggled against a Kentucky team that was blown out by unranked South Carolina a week ago, sneaking past the Wildcats 13-12 at Kroger Field in Lexington.
Kentucky led for much of the game thanks to a plethora of field goals. The Wildcats went into the half with a 6-3 lead before making it 9-3 in the third quarter. Georgia cut into that lead with a field goal of its own before finally getting its first touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter to take a 13-9 lead.

The Wildcats made it a one-point game with a field goal on the next drive but ultimately didn't have another scoring drive in them as they missed out on the upset.
While Georgia remained undefeated on Saturday, it wasn't a good sign for a team looking to contend for a championship. Heisman candidate Carson Beck struggled against Kentucky's defense, picking up just 160 passing yards on 15-of-24 passing. The Bulldogs' rushing attack wasn't much better as it had just 102 yards on the ground.
After the narrow win, college football fans called out Georgia for struggling in what should have been a manageable game.
The good news for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs is that they'll get a week off to figure out what went wrong and what they need to improve upon moving forward. After the bye week, Georgia will face the team that kept it from reaching the College Football Playoff a year ago as it takes on Alabama on the road.
Saturday's game showed a Georgia team that doesn't look prepared to compete for a national title, but the Bulldogs could change that narrative with a win against the Crimson Tide in two weeks.
