While every golfer inside of the top 30 will compete in the TOUR Championship, those with higher standings get better benefits. The FedEx Cup leader will start at 10-under par with the rest of the field getting the following advantages:
- No. 2: 8-under par
- No. 3: 7-under par
- No. 4: 6-under par
- No. 5: 5-under par
- Nos. 6-10: 4-under par
- Nos. 11-15 start: 3-under par
- Nos. 16-20: 2-under par
- Nos. 21-25: 1-under par
- Nos. 26-30: even
Scottie Scheffler, who has been the best golfer all year, struggled at the BMW Championship over the weekend, finishing one-over-par to place tied for 33rd. Luckily for Scheffler, the bad weekend didn't hurt his standings thanks to an otherwise tremendous year.
Scheffler still sits in first place in the FedEx Cup standings, meaning he'll get a major advantage in next week's TOUR Championship.
While Bradley had the biggest leap of the entire field on Sunday, Adam Scott also improved his standings after finishing tied for second. Scott, like Bradley, came into the weekend trying to get inside the top 30, and he jumped more than 20 spots from No. 41 to No. 14 in the standings on Sunday.
The two biggest risers, Bradley and Scott, will now look to continue their positive momentum into the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Course in Atlanta next week.
