Video: Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston's WNBA Pregame Routine Revealed By Fever

Andrew PetersAug 18, 2024

Every great basketball player has a pregame routine to get their head in the right space before a big matchup.

While there are plenty of notable pregame routines, there might not be one as wholesome as Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston's.

The two Indiana Fever stars give each other some words of affirmation before every game, making sure they're both feeling confident before taking to the court.

"You're going to be amazing because you are amazing," Clark told Boston in a recent mic'd up moment posted by the Fever.

"Thank you, you too," Boston responded.

The pregame routine must be working because Boston and Clark are both having great seasons.

Boston, who is in her second season in the WNBA, is averaging 14.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Clark has become a frontrunner for Rookie of the Year, putting up 17.6 points, 8.3 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Together, the two have led Indiana to a 13-15 record and the Fever currently sit in seventh place in the WNBA standings. Their 13 wins have already matched last season's win total and surpassed their win totals from 2020, 2021 and 2022.

With 12 games left in the season, Indiana has the chance to continue their bounceback season and perhaps make a strong playoff run.
