Eagles' Win-Loss Predictions for 2024 NFL Season
2024 is shaping up to be a make-or-break year for the Philadelphia Eagles and head coach Nick Sirianni. After appearing in Super Bowl LVII and jumping out to a 10-1 start last season, the Eagles collapsed and were ultimately ousted in the wild-card round.
This offseason has brought several changes. The Eagles were aggressive in free agency, lost standout center Jason Kelce to retirement and hired new offensive and defensive coordinators in Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio, respectively.
Philly's quest to return to title contention will begin on September 6 against the Green Bay Packers. Another fast start would be preferable, but the goal will be to surpass last year's 11-6 record and reclaim the NFC East.
Can the Eagles rebound, or will they start to consider even bigger changes in 2025? Let's take a look at what's ahead for Philadelphia and make a few predictions.

Analysis and Expectations

While the Eagles have to prove themselves on the playing field, they did an excellent job of addressing needs in free agency and the draft. General manager Howie Roseman snagged potential impact players like Saquon Barkley, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Devin White and Bryce Huff before turning his attention to the draft.
In the draft, Roseman took cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean to help address a secondary that ranked 31st in yards allowed last season.
With a better defense, an improved and more versatile running game and, hopefully, improved offensive and defensive play-calling, the Eagles should be right back in the Super Bowl mix.
Few questions truly remain, at least, on paper. Will the Eagles finally find a reliable third receiver behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith? Will new center Cam Jurgens adequately replace Kelce? Will Moore really lift the offense after an underwhelming one-year stint with the Los Angeles Chargers?
The Vegas oddsmakers seem to believe that Philadelphia will answer its biggest questions positively. The Eagles' over/under for wins currently sits at 10.5, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The Eagles are also once again considered favorites in the NFC East.
Philly is -120 (bet $120 to win $100) to win the division this year and is among the favorites to reach the Super Bowl. The Eagles are +600 to win the NFC, trailing only the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions as the third-favorites.
Predictions

The reality is that Philadelphia's success, or lack thereof, in 2024 may have nothing to do with talent. The Eagles still boast one of the most complete rosters in the NFL, and chemistry seemed to be a far bigger issue last season.
Defensively, the Eagles suffered from poor game planning by Sean Desai and, later, Matt Patricia. The arrival of Fangio should help things dramatically. Offensively, a strained relationship between Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts was reportedly part of the problem.
According to ESPN's Tim McManus and Jeremy Fowler, last year's coach-QB relationship was "fractured" and "unhealthy."
However, Sirianni has reportedly taken full responsibility for last year's collapse, which should help the Eagles attack 2024 with a renewed vigor.
"It was a breath of fresh air," one source said, per McManus and Fowler. "It showed leadership."
As long as the Eagles can find a grove similar to the one they had in 2022 and during last season's hot start, they're going to be a tough out for any opponent.
While the Eagles will have eight games against teams that made the playoffs in 2023, their overall schedule isn't particularly daunting. Based on 2023 winning percentage (.491), Philadelphia faces the league's 10th-easiest schedule (tied).
The expectation here is that Philly avoids the issues that plagued it last season and returns to the postseason as a division champion.
Win-Loss Prediction: 12-5
