Randy Orton Confirms 5-Year WWE Contract Extension Before Bash in Berlin After Rumors
Randy Orton is one of the longest-tenured Superstars in WWE, and he won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful spoke to Orton, who confirmed he signed a five-year contract extension with the company. This comes after his report on Monday that Orton had inked a long-term deal.

The 44-year-old is set to challenge World Heavyweight Champion Gunther for the title at WWE Bash in Berlin on Aug. 31.
Despite being a member of the SmackDown brand, Orton made a surprise appearance on last week's episode of Monday Night Raw. He told Gunther that Raw general manager Adam Pearce granted him a title match, with the winner staying on Raw and the loser going to SmackDown.
The two of them had faced each other in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament, with Gunther coming out on top to earn his title shot against former champion Damian Priest at SummerSlam earlier this month.
Orton originally signed with WWE in 2000 and made his debut on the main roster in 2002. He went on to become one of the greatest wrestlers of his generation, winning a world title 14 times. A win against Gunther would put him one world championship away from the all-time record shared by John Cena and Ric Flair.
A new deal for Orton is a positive sign after his recent battle with injuries. A back issue kept him out for 18 months before he returned at the Survivor Series premium live event last November. He also has a long history of shoulder injuries.
Now, Orton will continue to add to his legendary legacy within WWE. As the company keeps adding younger talent, there are exciting matchups that await Orton against Superstars of the future generation.
