Cowboys' Jerry Jones Gives Update on Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb Contracts amid Camp
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones provided updates on potential contract extensions for Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb on Friday.
"They're just progressing, in my mind," Jones said about discussions with Lamb, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.
Jones also revealed that the front office is actively negotiating with Prescott's representatives.

"I would say that we're talking," he added. "I would not have a legitimate progress point there at all. And I really don't have it for Lamb, either. And it's not negative. I'm just thinking it wouldn't do any good to talk about progress."
However, Jones didn't confirm that one extension was closer to getting finalized compared to the other.
Lamb is currently holding out of training camp as he awaits a new deal. The former first-round pick is entering the final year of his rookie contract before he's set to become a free agent in 2025.
After he set franchise records with 135 receptions and 1,749 yards in 2023, Lamb could receive a new deal before Prescott. Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reported on July 20 that the Cowboys are "putting Lamb's contract extension talks ahead of quarterback Dak Prescott's."
Lamb's patience could be wearing thin after fellow star receivers such as Justin Jefferson, A.J. Brown, Jaylen Waddle, and Amon-Ra St. Brown were all given extensions from their respective teams during the 2024 offseason.
As for Prescott, he's been a participant in training camp despite the lack of a new contract. While he 31-year-old told reporters on Friday that he's confident in a future contract agreement with Dallas, it's not at the forefront of his mind as he prepares for the regular season.
"I've got a ton of confidence, but honestly, it's not something I think about," Prescott said, via Jeff Kolb of Fox 4 News. "I'm here in training camp and focused on this year. I'm on a contract for this year and that's all I really care about."
Jones confirmed that the front office is negotiating with both players on Friday, although he doesn't seem to be interested in discussing the progress that has been made in discussions.
