Fantasy Football 2024: PPR Rankings Cheatsheet and Expert Reaction
The NFL unofficially officially kicked off the 2024 campaign on Thursday with the annual Hall of Fame game.
That should have sent a signal to managers across the fantasy football world: It's time to start grinding through the remainder of your pre-draft research.
Part of that research likely involves scanning through various training camp reports. Those can be valuable tools, though it's important to remember at this point on the calendar—when all teams are undefeated and all players are in the best shape of their lives—a lot of these news nuggets arrive covered in optimism.
We'll try to flesh out the substance from these mostly growing reports by highlighting what you need to know from the latest camp buzz. First, though, we'll lay out our top-50 point-per-reception (PPR) rankings for the upcoming campaign.

Bears Expecting Even Bigger, Better Things from DJ Moore After Contract Extension
2 of 4
In just one season, DJ Moore raised the bar on expectations for Bears' receivers. His first campaign in the Windy City spawned a slew of career-highs for the veteran pass-catcher, including 96 receptions, 1,364 yards and eight touchdown catches.
That's apparently all Chicago needed to see to consider him a building block of this franchise. While his contract wasn't set to expire until after next season, the Bears extended it anyway for four years $110 million, including $82.6 million in guarantees.
"I'm extremely excited to be able to re-sign DJ," Bears general manager Ryan Poles said. "We all know he's an impact player and a difference-maker for our offense, but his leadership and professionalism make him a cornerstone of our franchise."
This increased commitment to Moore means his role in this offense could be as high as ever despite the offseason additions of Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze and D'Andre Swift. The Bears clearly think Moore can help the development of No. 1 pick quarterback Caleb Williams, who could wind up targeting Moore even more than his predecessors did.
Kirk Cousins Impressing in Recovery from Achilles Tear
3 of 4
There were reasons to wonder (or even worry) about how Kirk Cousins might fare in his first season back from the Achilles tear that ended his 2023 campaign.
So far, so good for the new Falcons signal-caller. He even felt good enough to scramble for a six-yard gain in a recent camp practice, which can only be a positive sign with how his body is responding. He has apparently looked great throwing the ball to his new set of receivers, too.
"For the day, Cousins was 18-of-27 and after six days of practice, a casual observer would find it hard to believe he's coming back from a major injury," ESPN's Marc Raimondi relayed on Wednesday. "Cousins said this portion of his rehab where he is simply playing football has been a success."
The Falcons absorbed plenty of risk when they signed Cousins, who turns 36 in a couple weeks, to a four-year, $180 million contract back in March. So far, they must be thrilled with the early returns on their investment.
Aaron Rodgers Raves About Breece Hall's Receiving Ability
4 of 4
A healthy Aaron Rodgers could mean wonders to the New York Jets' receiving core. He could also do a lot with all-purpose running back Breece Hall, who paced the position with 76 receptions last season (for 591 yards and four touchdowns).
During a recent practice, New York's offense ran 16 plays in the red zone, and Rodgers connected on six touchdown passes. Two of them went to Hall.
"It says a lot when your bell-cow running back is No. 1 in the progression on red zone routes," Rodgers told reporters.
Hall, a second-round pick out of Iowa State in 2022, has been super productive when healthy. In 24 career games—his rookie campaign was cut short by an ACL tear—he's had 303 carries for 1,457 yards, 95 receptions for 809 yards and 14 combined touchdowns. It's possible, though, he could be even more productive given that he'll be on the receiving end of passes from Rodgers instead of Zach Wilson, Trevor Siemian, Tim Boyle and Joe Flacco.
