Eagles GM Howie Roseman Wanted Jason Kelce to Work as Team Scout After Retirement
Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman would gladly give Jason Kelce a scouting job if he ever wanted one.
"I think Jason would be great at anything in football," he told Kay Adams on Tuesday. "I think he'd be a heck of an evaluator. I tried to recruit him to come work with me too, because he can evaluate players. ... No, I'm not joking. When we were in that draft, I gave him a few centers that we really liked and he came out and said, 'I love Cam Jurgens.' Luckily I only give him the players that I like so he can't come up with somebody else."

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni also told Adams that the door is open for Kelce to join the Philadelphia coaching staff (8 minute mark).
"Jason Kelce can have a space on anything he wants to do on this football team," Sirianni said. "I love him. I'll greatly miss him. ... I can't say enough good things about how much he meant to me as a coach."
Jurgens, after being draft in 2022, served as a starting guard across 11 games in the 2023 season and was named as a Pro Bowl alternate, though a midseason foot injury cost him several games.
This year, he's expected to serve as Kelce's replacement at center.
Kelce, meanwhile, will be joining ESPN's Monday Night Countdown this season while continuing his successful New Heights podcast with his brother, Travis Kelce. But if the future Hall of Famer ever wants to return to the NFL on the evaluation side, he knows who to call.
