Steelers GM: 'Nothing Going on' with WR Trade Talks amid Brandon Aiyuk Rumors
Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan indicated he isn't pursuing a trade for a wide receiver amid rumors linking the team to San Francisco 49ers wideout Brandon Aiyuk.
Per ESPN's Brooke Pryor, Khan said there's "nothing ongoing right now" in terms of trading for a wide receiver.
Khan's comments come after Aiyuk, a star for San Francisco last season, requested a trade from the 49ers.

Though he requested a trade, Aiyuk did report to the Niners' training camp on Tuesday, but won't practice as part of a "hold-in."
Aiyuk has been a name to watch for the Steelers for much of the offseason, and Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported last week that Pittsburgh was among the five teams "ready to pay" for the receiver ahead of the NFL draft in April.
A trade didn't happen then, and Khan's comments make it seem as if Aiyuk has fallen off the Steelers' radar.
But given Pittsburgh's current wide receiver situation, ruling out a trade for a pass catcher is not a safe assumption. The Steelers traded Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers this offseason, losing a player who accounted for the team's second-most receiving yards and second-most touchdowns last season.
Since then, Pittsburgh has added a handful of receivers, including rookie Roman Wilson, a third-round draft pick, but nobody as prolific as Aiyuk, who had 1,342 receiving yards and seven touchdowns last year.
If the Steelers want to compete for a Super Bowl in the first year of the Russell Wilson era, making a play for Aiyuk would boost their chances, but for now, Khan will keep his focus elsewhere.
