NFL Coach: Aaron Rodgers "Has the Ultimate 'Hang It in the Louvre' Throwing Motion"
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is still impressing NFL coaches with his throwing mechanics as he enters his 20th season in the league.
"He has the ultimate 'hang it in the Louvre' throwing motion," an anonymous NFL quarterback coach said, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Rodgers' arm talent has been on display throughout his incredible career, as his 59,055 pass yards are the most among active players. He also ranks No. 9 on the league's all-time leaderboard.
He has four MVPs under his belt and helped the Green Bay Packers earn a Super Bowl victory during the 2010 season. After he was traded from Green Bay to New York during the 2023 offseason, many expected the Jets to become AFC contenders.
However, Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on the first drive of his 2023 campaign and the team missed the playoffs with a 7-10 record.
It's been an eventful offseason for the signal-caller, as he missed part of the team's mandatory minicamp in June due to a pre-planned trip to Egypt (via SNY's Connor Hughes). Hughes noted that the trip was not communicated initially, although the team was eventually made aware of it.
With the Jets making free-agent additions such as wide receiver Mike Williams and left tackle Tyron Smith, they should still expect to make a playoff run in 2024 with Rodgers back under center.
