Under Armour All-America Game 2012: Top Recruits Who Committed
There were a number of high-profile recruits who had yet to commit headed into Thursday's Under Armour All-America Game.
By the end of the night, several big names had announced their commitment.
Here are the biggest recruits who committed at the Under Armour All-America Game.
3. Channing Ward, DE, Ole Miss
Channing Ward, the ninth-best defensive end in the class according to ESPNU, chose Ole Miss in the end.
Ward's a tough defender who uses his hands well and has good size and a good frame for the edges. He isn't consistently explosive off the edge, but can get off quickly at times and is best against the run.
2. Cyrus Jones, ATH, Alabama
Cyrus Jones, a multi-talented athlete who can be used as a cornerback or a receiver, was looking at Alabama and Virginia Tech.
In the end, he committed to Alabama, which isn't a big surprise considering Nick Saban almost always gets who he wants and the Crimson Tide are headed to the BCS Championship Game.
Jones has the speed, instincts and explosiveness to be a threat right away for Alabama, which is bad news for the rest of college football.
1. Landon Collins, S, Alabama
Landon Collins was thought to be leaning toward Alabama over LSU headed into Thursday's game, but given he's from Louisiana, it was still somewhat surprising when he announced he would be going to Alabama.
Collins is no joke. He's the No. 1 safety recruit in the country and the No. 7 overall recruit, according to ESPNU.
He's tough and physical, and his burst and explosiveness could see him making plenty of game-changing plays while at Alabama, against the run and against the pass.
Nick Saban does it again, folks.
